1. Paper. The medium is the message in love letter writing, or at least it is the material that holds the message. Give some though into choosing your paper on which you will compose your love letter. There are endless options to choose from including fine stationery with a textured “tooth” and a deckled, or feathered edge. Kate’s Paperie also offers a number of papers, pre-folded cards and other options in our Paper By The Piece department, where you can mix and match. You can choose corresponding or contrasting envelopes to suit your taste. When possible use acid-free paper or something archival as your sweet-heart will certainly want to save this treasured memento of your love.

TIPS: A “deckled” or feathered edge gives an elegant feeling. You can fold and tear the edges of your writing material to achieve this hand-made look.
