Welcome to The Tear Sheet

Great design ideas are everywhere and inspiration can come from the most unlikely places. The pattern in a rug may suggest the layout for stationery, while a photo of a room can influence the color palette for a web page. Aesthetic notions can seep into us as if by osmosis and reemerge later in surprisingly different ways. As Jean-Luc Godard once said, “It’s not where you take things from, it’s where you take them to.”

Kate’s Paperie has always been your go-to source for the best paper, art and design materials, and I hope to spur your creative side even more-so with this new column. From identifying hot new design trends to showcasing cool new products, and even posting unusual design projects you can do on your own, The Tear Sheet will be an online repository for fresh new ideas that I hope will prove inspiring.

If you have any questions, comments or other feedback about The Tear Sheet, be sure to let us know by emailing us at thetearsheet@katespaperie.com.
